What are Workshops?

Participants engage physically and creatively to connect with the content.

Hands-On, Participatory Learning for All

Workshops are hands-on, participatory learning experiences designed for people of all ages and abilities. Unlike seminars, which are more lecture-based with discussion and Q&A, workshops invite audiences to move, create, sing, play, and actively engage with history and culture. The focus is on doing rather than listening, offering opportunities for creativity, physical movement, and shared exploration.

Whether participants are learning a traditional rhythm, crafting a collaborative poem, or acting out a historic moment, workshops create meaningful and memorable learning experiences.

Workshop vs. Seminar: What’s the Difference?

Workshops are interactive. Participants are physically and creatively involved, taking part in activities that help them connect with the content in a personal way.

Seminars are more informational. Participants listen to a speaker, then engage through discussion or Q&A.
